Low price is part of the product idea

Contrary to popular belief, well-designed products should be cheaper than others.

Because if you're a really good designer, you can avoid everything that will make a product more expensive, from the drawing board. That's why we always try to design things that will fit in a flat pack. Because who wants to pay for a load of air to carry around? Not you, not us, not the environment.

So we can remove everything that is unnecessary in a product and replace it with what is important. A better shape, a better function, a more durable quality. And without increasing the price.

This is how low price can become part of the idea, part of the design. And design suddenly becomes an important part of being able to have a low price.
